Shipping
FREE Shipping on order over $150 within Australia. A flat rate of $11.95 applies for shipping within Australia for orders under $150.00.
$18 flat rate shipping to New Zealand.
We aim to ship within 3 business days, unless the orders are on 'pre-order' status. Please allow 5-7 business days to receive your order once shipped. If you live in a regional area, please allow an extra few days for delivery.
Basic State will re-send a parcel that is incorrectly labelled by us. We do not take responsibility for delivery addresses that are provided incorrectly or incomplete.
All shipping is at the customers risk. Once items have been lodged for delivery, we do not hold responsibility for lost parcels or packages damaged in transit. Please contact Australia Post or the nominated courier and advise them that your order has not arrived.
Once placed, we are unable to amend or cancel an order.
International Shipping
Flat rate of $18 AUD to New Zealand
Flat rate of $48 AUD to the rest of the world
Please be aware we are not responsible for duty or tax incurred once parcels arrive in your designated country.
Returns Policy
We want you to love your purchase and for your shopping experience with us to be as enjoyable as possible.

We do not offer returns on gift cards.
All items must be returned unworn, with no damage to the item, packaging or tags (no tan, make up stains etc). If item(s) are deemed to be worn, we will refuse your return the the cost to ship item(s) back to you, will be at your expense.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to refund/exchange items once they have been washed or worn - please inspect your purchase prior to wearing and / or washing.
Returns and exchanges must be returned within 10 business days of receiving your order. The cost of the return is at your expense.
We recommend that you use registered post or a trackable courier when returning an item as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in transit to us.
Please allow 10 business days for your return to be processed from the time it arrives at our PO Box.
Upon receipt of the merchandise, we will refund you the purchase price of the item(s), less any shipping costs incurred when the goods were purchased (11.95 for Australian orders and $18 for orders shipped to New Zealand).
Please allow up to 4 weeks for the funds to appear in your bank account.
If you've purchased an item that is on sale, discounted, or bundled - we offer a credit only, which will appear on your account. To use a credit, simply log in using your email address, head to the checkout and tick the box under 'payment method' to apply credit.
Sale, Bundled & Clearance Items (including all sales periods)
No further discounts applicable during sales period.
Returns will be processed as a store credit only. This also applies to all discounted, bundled and clearance items, purchased online and in-store.
Where items purchased as part of a promotional offer are partially returned, the promotion will be recalculated based on the items retained. Any applicable discount or free item value may be deducted from the store credit issued.
Free Gift with purchase promotions, are able to be returned for a store credit only. Free item not redeemable for cash or store credit. If the free item is kept and the original item returned we subtract the value of said item from the store credit.
Damaged or Faulty Items
We will gladly refund or exchange any faulty or damaged product - on the condition that it is unworn and unwashed. Please e-mail us at contactus@basicstate.com.au with photographic evidence upon receipt of goods and we will be in-touch with you within 2-3 business days. Once an item is worn or washed, we do not take responsibility.
Any refunds will be credited against the original payment method. Please allow 7 business days for the credit to appear on your statement.
